SSB Interview

The qualified canditates of CDSE exam are called by the Service Selection Board through call letter.The letter will be reaching the canditate before 10 days prior to the interview date.The letter consists of all the details such as :-

1.Service Selection board place
2.Date and Time of report
3.Place of report
4.Documents to be carried
5.Rules and regulations
6.Things to be taken
7.Photo copies etc
8.Schedule that u will undergo during ur stay at board.

Canditates have to take all their original documents (metriculation to graduation) and a 2 xerox copies of each .Also canditate has to bring CDSE hall ticket and the *Call Letter with him,these two are must.Canditates have to take clothing siutable to weather present at Board.One has to take a pair of White T-shirts,pair of PT/Sports shoes,Pair of white shorts,and a formal dress for the Interview.
Note:-
canditates should bring other certificates which they got in participation in sports,any competitions,or certificates implying outstanding achievements.These are very helpful for the interview.


Journey:

Book the tickets as soon as you get the call letter.If you are attending the SSB for the first time,then you will get Travel allowances of first class Train charges from your nearest railway station to place of call up.So go give first priority to Train and then Bus.The Board will pay the charges according to the Train charges(To and Forth Journey).
Be at the place of call up early(2 to 3 hours),make as many friends as possible,which will help u later at the board.

Day1:
The officer in charge will come and pick u to the Selecton Board from the plae of call up by bus.If you are selected for AIRFORCE the u will be going to AFSB which is located in two places(MYSORE and DEHRADUN).
On day1 u will undergo PABT.IN PABT will have to undergo two tests,in normal we can say as Theoretical and a practical.
The officer will explain about the basic parts of an aeroplane,view of an aeroplane in different directions,various instruments such as speedometer,compass,direction indicator,turn indicator etc.Then all the canditates will now take a multiple choice test on the above specified inf.
Test1:-
Canditates will be given a book.the question consists of an aeroplane picture,below will be given five options canditate has to choose the correct one and mark the answer in the Sheet provided to them.
Test2:
Here canditate will be given another booklet>The question consists of a line Describing the plane position,orientation,whether it is turning,ascending or descending etc.
canditaes will be given five pictures as options to the questio above nad will have to pick the right picture and mark the answer in the sheet provided.

By this theoritical test completes...........Dont worry if u couldnt do well in this exam.......still u have practical which is also equally important.

Practical:

Test1:-The test is simple,its like playing a video game,we will be sitting infront of a computer monitor,the theme is we have o control a small red ball on the screen which moves randomly and have to place that ball in the middle of a circumsquare.In order to do this we will be having a LEVER to control the balls movement in up and down directions,we have to operate the LEVER with hand.Next is a peddal,place the foot on the peddal to control the movement of ball in left and right directions.The time is 90 sec for each trial and we get only 3 chances ,the best among the three is taken and points are generated automatically by computer which is not visible.


Test2:- In this test we only use the LEVER to control the ball movement in left and right directions.The test is simple ,a stack of balls will be coming from the top of the screen in irrregular fashion,what we have to do is mount the red ball with the down coming flow of balls so that we will get apoint for 80% of mounting,the test is for 60 sec and each person gets 3 chances and the best of the three is taken.
By this PABT completes.


Then after the SSB interview will be same for all canditates appearing for IMA,IAF.NAVY etc.

Before interview one will have a psychology test.It consiists of picture perception(Story writing),situation reaction test and a group discussion.
In picture perception we will be given 11 pictures and we have to write story relating to the picture within 3 minutes,like this we have to write all the 11 stories and the last picture is a blank picture and we can write any story.The story should be short and should be written in 6 to 8 lines,also their should be a beginning and end to the story we write.
Psychology officers assess a canditates qualities from these stories ....................

So the stories should be in such a way that they reflect positiveness,no tragegedies,helpfull and should have a good end which gives morale,any message.Canditates should be well aware of the names that they use in the stories ,cause the names might be helpfull in the interview.

In Situation reaction test canditates will be given a situation and they are asked to write what they do at that particular moment.
EX;-
you are at a party and its late in the night and is raining,your parents are waiting,so..................
You went for jogging in the morning,suddenly u saw an accident infront of you,..........................

Also canditates will be given a word and he has to write a sentence using that word,the words are pretty simple like

Honesty,kind,Happy,Important,Partiality,strength,unity,equality........etc.
Here we get a 5 sec for each word so canditates must write whatever they get whether positive or neagtive one.

The last part in the psychology test is ................
Candidate has to write what his parents think about himself,what his friends ,what his teachers think about himself and last is whom u would like to be and write about ur qualities.


Note:-The last part is very much helpful in the interview.Please donot ignore this.

Th interview is very simple............all u have to know is about urself,seems strange but it is true.
The interviewer asks about ur parents,brothers,sisters ,their educational qualification, about ur friends,what are the experiences u have learnt from them,who is you favourite teacher and why he is ur favourite one.How many friends do u have and how many do u hate.........please be careful in these type of question.ask about ur area of residence,place,importance of the place............etc
